Just came across some info concerning parents/grandparents of Mary Farrar. She was the dau of Thomas Farrar b. 1665 Farrar's Island in Goochland Co., VA and Katherine Perrin nee Royall. Katherine first married Richard Perrin & then Thomas Farrar as his third wife. According to the book, Immigrant Ancestors, A List of 2,500 Immigrants to America Before 1750", Joseph Royall came from England on the Charitie to Jamestown, VA in 1622. He settled on the James River above Shirley Hundred. He was a large landowner and fought in the Indian wars. He married 1st Thomasina _______, 2nd Ann ______ and third ca 1645, Katherine Banks of Canterbury, England. According to a couple of sources, Katheine Banks was the dau of Christopher Banks of Canterbury, England. She later married Henry Isham and they were the great grandparents of Thomas Jefferson and other descendants were Robert E. Lee and John Marshall. Ernie Abel |
