Watch close, narrow driveway entrance. Only a few graves here. Sanford Dunaway and Nancy Sheffield Dunaway. The family word of mouth history tells that the reason that she was buried here was that she died of an illness that the doctors couldn't diagnose, and they wanted to perform an autopsy on her. Samuel did not want that, and fearing that they would dig up her grave to do it anyhow, he buried her in a field near their home, and kept guard over the grave for several days with a gun.
